The wonder of automation starts in An-Tespa with their gilded clockwork technology. Not born out of necessity, but to entertain the great houses with colorful automatons. Only later it brought inventions like pocket watches and machinery to speed up labor.While tesps desire fast economy, they do not want automatons to replace traditional laborers. Their labor culture is something inherently traditional. Some consider it slavery, tesps prefer to call it a simple tradition. The cog is just as much culture as the people around it; they are gears working like clockwork.
